Starboard
Multiple boards with safe sync and self-star controls.
Start here
Create a starboard and test a reaction threshold
PulseOne → Dashboard → select your server → Modules → Starboard
Open Modules → Starboard → Starboard configuration.
Under Boards create a board, choose its destination and reaction threshold.
Configure Source channels and Self-star and eligibility to prevent unintended highlights.
Under Mirrored content retention choose how long to keep mirrors; review Sync and reconciliation.
Save and react to a test message with distinct accounts until it crosses the threshold.
Practical example
Highlight a message only after several unique community members react to it, excluding the author.
Before you begin
- No module dependency listed.
- Discord bot permissions for the operational slice: ViewChannel, ReadMessageHistory, SendMessages, EmbedLinks.
- Review staff roles and channel access in your server before using the feature.
Overview of the setup
Before you begin
Create a board destination, source eligibility rules, emoji and reaction threshold.
Configure
React to a test message with different accounts; test self-reactions, edits and removed reactions.
Test and verify
Confirm the highlight updates when the original changes and disappears or follows policy when deleted.
Features explained
What each feature does and what to check before publishing or installing the result.
Multiple highlight boards
Use separate boards for different highlight types; scope which channels may contribute.
Threshold and self-star rules
Set thresholds and self-star policy to discourage easy manipulation.
Edit and deletion reconciliation
Source edits and deletions should reconcile with the mirrored board message.
If it still does not work
- Nothing was mirrored? Check source exclusions, emoji, thresholds and destination channel permissions.
- Message stale after an edit? Inspect Sync and reconciliation before reposting manually.
Troubleshooting and safety checks
- Highlight did not appear? Check the chosen emoji, unique-reactor threshold, source exclusions and destination access.
- If a capability is unavailable in the UI, check the module's current rollout/availability instead of assuming every roadmap item is live.
