Polls
Native or managed polls with eligibility and exports.
Start here
Set up a poll with the intended privacy settings
PulseOne → Dashboard → select your server → Modules → Polls
Choose the server → Modules → Polls and open Polls configuration.
In Creation enter the question and answer options. Under Eligibility defaults choose who can vote.
Under Privacy pick the disclosure mode; under Voting decide whether members may select multiple options.
Under Closing choose the end condition. Review Results and export visibility before publishing.
Save and publish the poll, then test one eligible vote and an attempted duplicate.
Practical example
Ask members to choose a future event date using one-vote-per-member rules and a clear closing time.
Before you begin
- No module dependency listed.
- Discord bot permissions for the operational slice: ViewChannel, SendMessages, EmbedLinks.
- Review staff roles and channel access in your server before using the feature.
Overview of the setup
Before you begin
Create a question and answer choices; choose single- or multiple-choice and who may vote.
Configure
Set voting visibility and the close time. Post a test poll and verify duplicate votes are rejected.
Test and verify
Close it and compare results with the configured privacy mode; export results only to authorized staff.
Features explained
What each feature does and what to check before publishing or installing the result.
Single and multiple choice polls
Select single or multiple choice before launch; changing vote rules midpoll is confusing.
Eligibility and privacy modes
Communicate whether ballots are public, anonymous or hidden before members participate.
Scheduled close and export
Use scheduled closure and exports after the poll is complete; do not imply private votes are public.
If it still does not work
- Vote rejected? Check member eligibility, whether the poll is open and the vote-selection limit.
- Do not promise anonymity until you verify the selected Privacy mode.
Troubleshooting and safety checks
- Votes not counted? Confirm the poll is open, the voter is eligible and vote limits are respected.
- If a capability is unavailable in the UI, check the module's current rollout/availability instead of assuming every roadmap item is live.
