Message builder
Reusable, versioned Discord message templates.
Start here
Write, save and publish a message template
PulseOne → Dashboard → select your server → Modules → Message builder
Choose the server → Modules → Message builder, then click New under Library.
In Template identity enter Template name and Description. Choose the default locale.
Under Localized message, choose Editing locale and type Message content. Add embeds or Link buttons if you want them.
In Validate and preview, resolve all issues and press Preview for the active locale. Sample values used for preview are not saved as member data.
Press Create template (or Save as vN for an existing template), then Publish vN. Saving and publishing are separate operations.
Enter a Discord channel ID under Test delivery to verify the published version without posting it to a public channel.
Practical example
Create a template named Server Rules with text and a link button. Preview, save version 1, publish it and send a test delivery to a staff-only channel.
Before you begin
- No module dependency listed.
- Discord bot permissions for the operational slice: ViewChannel, SendMessages, EmbedLinks.
- Review staff roles and channel access in your server before using the feature.
Overview of the setup
Before you begin
In Message Builder, start a template with a recognizable name and a default locale, then write the body.
Configure
Add embeds, link buttons and typed variables as needed, and keep allowed mentions restricted to the intended audience.
Test and verify
Validate and preview with sample values, save an immutable version, publish it, then use test delivery in a nonpublic channel.
Features explained
What each feature does and what to check before publishing or installing the result.
Reusable Discord templates
Combine text, embeds and safe link buttons; avoid storing example recipient values in the template.
Safe mention controls
Restrict mass mentions and validate typed variables before any public delivery.
Preview, version, and rollback
Saving creates a version; publishing selects the version modules consume. Preview and rollback before replacing a live message.
If it still does not work
- Preview button disabled? The current locale must contain message text, an embed or a link button and have no validation issues.
- New edits do not reach consumers until a new version is saved and published.
Troubleshooting and safety checks
- Preview disabled? The current locale needs visible content, an embed or a link button; resolve validation issues first.
- If a capability is unavailable in the UI, check the module's current rollout/availability instead of assuming every roadmap item is live.
