Community
Birthdays, a counting channel, invite rewards and channel opening hours.
Start here
Enable a community feature one at a time
PulseOne → Dashboard → select your server → Modules → Community
Open Modules → Community → Community settings.
For Birthdays, enable Celebrate birthdays, enter Announcement channel ID, and have a test user run /birthday set (month/day only).
For Counting channel choose its channel and score policies. Test consecutive valid numbers from different members.
For Invite tracker choose whether to track joins and set reward-role IDs; test with a genuine invite.
For Opening hours choose channel IDs and set Opens at and Closes at, then Save settings and confirm the next change.
Practical example
Create a #counting channel, then verify two different users can count while a repeated or incorrect number follows the chosen policy.
Before you begin
- No module dependency listed.
- Discord bot permissions for the operational slice: ViewChannel, SendMessages, AddReactions, ManageRoles, ManageChannels, ManageGuild.
- Review staff roles and channel access in your server before using the feature.
Overview of the setup
Before you begin
Enable the Community module and configure one feature at a time with the needed channels and roles.
Configure
Start with a test birthday or counting channel, then turn on invite rewards or channel hours if needed.
Test and verify
Try the member commands and check stored counters, role changes and channel re-opening at the scheduled time.
Features explained
What each feature does and what to check before publishing or installing the result.
Birthdays: /birthday, a daily announcement and a role for the day, in the server time zone
Members opt to share month and day via /birthday; the configured timezone governs announcements and one-day roles.
Counting channel with mistakes, streaks and a best score
Counting accepts ordered whole numbers and can prevent consecutive numbers by the same person.
Invite tracker: who invited whom, counts that subtract members who left, and reward roles
Invite rewards count valid joins and subtract departures, so reward eligibility changes over time.
Channel opening hours: channels close and reopen on a weekly schedule
Opening hours change channel permissions on a weekly schedule; verify they're restored after reopening.
If it still does not work
- Changing a channel ID does not alter the current permissions until settings are saved and the service applies them.
- Invite rewards depend on observable joins/departures, so counts can decrease.
Troubleshooting and safety checks
- Wrong count or closed channel? Check timezone, invite tracking state, role permissions or last schedule reconciliation.
- If a capability is unavailable in the UI, check the module's current rollout/availability instead of assuming every roadmap item is live.
